Do you buy metal and what do you pay for it?
Yes, we buy many different types of metal. Our prices change regularly. You may call us or email us with a description of the material and we will give you a quote.
Do I have to separate my items?
It can be beneficial to keep like materials together so we can weigh and price them accordingly. This will usually increase your pricing.
Do you take appliances?
No, we do not take household appliances. We suggest you call your local steel recycling yard.
How can I tell if it is steel?
If a magnet sticks to it, then it is steel (except for high temperature nickel items).
Do you have pick up service?
We have a roll off service for large projects.
Does the wire have to be stripped?
We can recycle stripped and unstripped wire.
What is the difference between clean and unclean material?
Clean material is free of all contamination, including, but not limited to, plastic and steel.
Do you take can tabs?
Yes, we do recycle and pay for aluminum can tabs; however, it is not necessary for you to remove the tab from the can.
How many cans make a pound?
32, 12 ounce cans weigh one pound.
Do cans have to be crushed?
No, but you will save on space and the number of plastic bags you use to collect your cans if you crush them first.
What kind of batteries do you take?
We can recycle lead acid batteries, which are usually from trucks, cars, and lawn mowers. They must be non-leaking.
Do you take cars?
No, we do not take cars. We suggest you call your local steel recycling yard.
Do you take chain link fence?
We do not take chain link fencing. We suggest calling your local steel yard.
Do you take compressors?
Yes, from home and commercial air conditioners. The compressors must be capped off and nonleaking.
